Deciding when euthanasia is the right choice is the most difficult part of bringing a pet into your family. Dr. Kelly understands how stressful, emotional & absolutely painful having to prepare for something such as this is. Giving your pet a dignified transition is a kindness in it's own way. Whenever possible, we feel euthanasia should be a way to honor your pet with love & we promise to always have patience, compassion & empathy to help your family during this time.
Dr. Kelly will come out to help you go over the best options for your pet, and help with a painless & calm passing in their own home. Sedation will be given to help your pet feel free of anxiety or worry & be more receiving of your loving energy.
We then entrust your pet to Animal Memorial Service for aftercare. Private cremation will have your pet's ashes returned to you in a wooden urn with an engraved name plaque. With a group cremation, your pet's ashes will not be returned to you, but will be scattered on private property in the Santa Cruz mountains.
It can be heartbreaking and life changing to go through this, and we hope if you ever need any help that you will find it. It is understandable to have deep grief over the loss of a pet. If you are feeling the need for any further counseling or care, please know the following services are available. And most importantly, know that your pet knows you love them!!
